Sanctum
of Sound

Fifty-two hours at MaHalla that bent closer to a retreat than a festival. Three weeks from the doors, a tight budget, a rare production. This is where it landed.

A paid campaign is usually called strong at a 3× return. This came back at 6.8×, in a three-week window: 690,000+ organic Instagram views and 544,000+ paid Meta impressions, working alongside the event's own pull. Every figure below is measured, not estimated.

Where we began

Three weeks from the doors. A tight budget, and against it a rare production and a clear vision worth carrying. So almost all the real work happened before a single euro was spent: in strategy. Not how to shout louder, but how to make a little travel far: the right partners to carry it the last mile, content sourced and shaped from what was already in hand, and spend kept lean enough to last every one of those weeks.

New Instagram followers (39,900 → 41,343)

Views are the summed total across MaHalla's own campaign posts, partner content excluded. Engagement is Meta-reported across the promoted posts. Follower figures compare the account at the start of the engagement (≈39,900) with today (41,343). This is the part that outlasts the event: an audience you own outright, and the one asset that makes every future campaign cheaper than this one.

The creative

No budget for a production, so we made one from what we had: sourced and shaped in house, with every tool we could reach. The piece that travelled furthest wasn't polished at all: a collaboration with the festival's own sound-system partner.

The crossing

With the plan set, the spend moved in three measured steps: never volume for its own sake, always the next right move.

PHASE 01
Ignition
Engagement
Built the warm audience first: reach and engagement that seeded the custom audiences and lookalikes every later euro was aimed through.
PHASE 02
Convert
Traffic
The engine. Tested artist-led, sound-system and experience angles across Berlin and its travelling neighbours, for 6,661 real landing-page visits at €0.22 a link click.
PHASE 03
Close
Retargeting
Retargeted everyone who showed real intent, visited the ticket page but hadn't bought, with the strongest creative and urgency in the final stretch. Sales accelerated hardest in the last days.
What the road taught us
Real partnerships beat produced content.
A collaboration with the festival's sound-system partner became the single best-performing ad of the campaign.
A locked budget is a cheaper budget.
Clicks ran €0.18 blended against the account's €0.27 average, and a fraction of what cold social traffic usually costs. Best ad sets held under €0.14. Cost per result only climbed when the budget was pushed up late in the run. The clearest lesson: set the number once, before we engage, and hold it.
The return was there even compressed.
A 6.8× return on ad spend, earned inside a three-week window most campaigns would consider too short to start.
What a full runway would carry

This ran compressed into three weeks. The next one doesn't have to.

Ticket sales only accelerated in the final days: the audience was still warming when the doors were already close. A real six-to-eight-week pre-promotion builds those warm pools before they're needed, so the next event opens from a materially larger, cheaper base rather than sprinting to build one from scratch. And if RA purchase tracking can be enabled from day one, every euro can be pointed at the people who actually buy, not just the people who click. That's the first thing we confirm before the next runway starts. Same craft, more room to work.

Three things, set before we engage: a fixed budget, planned against the runway and held, not changed in the final days, where cost climbs fastest; the full runway itself; and tracking live from day one. The numbers above are lowest exactly where the plan was followed. Lock those three and the next campaign starts ahead of this one, not behind it.

The tale is told

The room filled.
And this was only the test.

A 6.8x return came from a three-week test on a locked budget: strategy, live campaign management, and creative sourced and shaped in house. This is what Eachtra does compressed into three weeks. Imagine a real runway.
